About the Role

The Digital Content Specialist is a contractual position responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing digital content across social media platforms and video channels. This role combines creative storytelling with technical expertise to enhance our brand presence and engage with our audience effectively.

Responsibilities

● Create and edit engaging video content for multiple platforms

● Manage and schedule social media content across all company channels

● Manage and maintain team email inbox with professional communication

● Execute podcast outreach strategy (will train)

● Design and implement content calendars aligned with marketing goals

● Monitor social media metrics and create performance reports

● Edit and optimize video content for different platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)

● Maintain brand consistency across all digital channels

● Collaborate on content strategy and implementation

● Archive and organize digital assets in our shared drive system

● Stay current with social media trends and best practices

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

● Proactive communication and timely project updates

● Meet deadlines consistently and manage time effectively

● Adapt quickly to feedback and implement changes efficiently

● Stay organized with content calendars and asset management

● Maintain professional communication and email etiquette with clients, audience, and professional network

● Take initiative in suggesting new content ideas and improvements

● Be reliable and consistent with posting schedules

● Demonstrate problem-solving skills when technical issues arise

Requirements 

● Proficiency in video editing software (specify which ones you use)

● Experience with social media management tools (will train where necessary)

● Understanding of social media best practices and platform-specific requirements

● Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing and social media content creation

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Access to a reliable computer and internet connection

● Ability to commit to regular weekly hours

● Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)

Training

● Initial orientation to brand guidelines and content strategy

● Access to standard operating procedures and workflow documentation

● Frequent check-ins as needed during the first 30 days

● Weekly check-in reports ongoing

compensation

● Hourly rate: $25/hour, 4 hours/week to start (hours and rate will increase in time as business increases)

● Annual Holiday Bonus

● Payment schedule: Monthly
